Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure during weekend shifts.
- Perform system maintenance, patching, and security updates to ensure 99.9% uptime for state databases.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot escalated IT issues reported by government employees.
- Monitor server logs and alert systems to proactively resolve potential outages.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all technical procedures and incident reports.
- Collaborate with the central IT team during transition periods to ensure seamless handoffs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ITIL framework and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse government stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-hours.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required by the operational schedule.
