Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Implement and monitor intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with federal security frameworks (FISMA, NIST, CUI)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage security access controls and identity management systems
- Document security policies and procedures in accordance with federal guidelines
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in network security or incident response
- Certification in CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Experience with federal security frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and mitigation
