Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for county employees.
  • Manage and maintain the lifecycle of desktop assets, including deployment, imaging, and end-of-life disposal.
  • Administer and configure Active Directory, user accounts, and security permissions.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential outages to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government systems.
  • Document all technical interactions, solutions, and procedures in the Knowledge Base.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to resolve complex technical escalations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Help Desk or Systems Administration role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
