The Role:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring business continuity and user satisfaction across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, peripherals, and office equipment.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT assets and licenses.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical problems and implement solutions.
- Conduct regular system maintenance and perform backups to ensure data integrity.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical knowledge.
- Strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced government environment.
