Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect sensitive city data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software deployments and system upgrades.
- Conduct regular system audits and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding hardware and software applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.
