Responsibilities
- Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations of servers, network hardware, and cloud environments to ensure 99.9% uptime and system integrity.
- Implement Security Protocols: Enforce federal security standards (FISMA) and configure firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data.
- Provide Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues with a focus on customer service.
- Conduct System Audits: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Deploy and Update Systems: Plan, execute, and document the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
- Collaborate on Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve legacy systems for enhanced efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4 years of related experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or higher, and preferably a certification in Microsoft or Linux administration (e.g., MCSA, RHCE).
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting.
