Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments and Active Directory infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure system compliance with NIST standards
- Provide technical support for 500+ municipal employees and critical public services
- Deploy and monitor cloud solutions including Azure and AWS services
- Document IT systems, processes, and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city-wide technology initiatives
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server administration
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and TCP/IP protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a City of Austin security clearance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
