Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within federal networks to ensure system integrity.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Enforce compliance with federal regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and DFARS standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and incident response plans.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit trails for federal reporting.
- Provide expert consultation on security architecture and risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Active Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one (TS/SCI highly desirable).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
