Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal IT systems and networks during the weekend shift to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
- Perform routine security audits, patch management, and system backups to safeguard sensitive federal data.
- Respond to critical system alerts and troubleshoot hardware/software issues with priority escalation.
- Document all technical incidents and resolutions in compliance with federal record-keeping standards.
- Collaborate with on-call staff during regular business hours to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with NIST security frameworks and agency-specific IT policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Federal Service-specific IT certifications preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity within a government or corporate environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
