Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Implement and enforce federal security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and ensure high availability of critical applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and document IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents with minimal downtime in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent military technical training.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator in a government or defense contracting environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
