Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and troubleshoot advanced network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for government staff hardware and software issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to comply with federal standards (FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and integrate new IT solutions and cloud services.
- Document system configurations, network topology, and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA certification preferred; CISSP is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
