Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county-wide network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and file/print services.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and comply with state/federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and deploy IT upgrades and new technologies.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of network topologies, IP addressing, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, urgent environment.
