Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain the City’s local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, analyze system logs, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues efficiently.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Perform regular system backups and manage disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to upgrade and optimize IT assets.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record (position requires occasional travel).
- Proven experience in network administration, system troubleshooting, and helpdesk support.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and cybersecurity standards.
- Ability to obtain a Level II Security Clearance upon employment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical users.
