Responsibilities
- Manage Incoming Communications: Screen and route emails and phone calls, ensuring urgent matters are escalated immediately.
- Document Management: File, scan, and maintain accurate digital and physical records in compliance with government regulations.
- Meeting Support: Arrange internal and external meetings, take minutes, and prepare agendas.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional front-line service to the public, addressing inquiries with patience and accuracy.
- Data Entry: Input and update data into government databases to ensure information integrity.
- General Office Duties: Assist with procurement of office supplies and basic photocopying and printing tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English, or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise correspondence.
- Reliability: Ability to work with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality regarding government information.
- Driving License: A full, valid UK driving licence is desirable.
