Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of city streets, parks, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including trucks, dumpers, and mowers, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in snow and ice removal during inclement weather events to ensure public safety.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage or hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Interact with the public professionally, answering questions and directing traffic when necessary.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or public works is a plus but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
