Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain municipal infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Coordinate with engineering teams on public works projects and permit compliance
- Document maintenance activities using GIS mapping and digital reporting systems
- Respond to public inquiries regarding infrastructure concerns and service requests
- Ensure compliance with Caltrans and OSHA safety regulations
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related infrastructure issues
- Prepare detailed reports on infrastructure conditions and repair recommendations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal infrastructure or construction maintenance
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency with GIS mapping software and digital reporting tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Excellent communication skills for public interaction and team collaboration
