Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefit claims with accuracy and compassion
- Provide direct assistance to veterans regarding healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Conduct thorough interviews and document case histories
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal experts to resolve complex cases
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations and privacy laws
- Represent the VA at community outreach events
- Utilize specialized software to track and update claim statuses
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social services, psychology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
