Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise weekend recreational activities including sports leagues, arts workshops, and special events
- Manage facility operations, equipment inventory, and safety protocols during weekend hours
- Coordinate with community volunteers and partner organizations for program implementation
- Conduct participant registration, activity facilitation, and incident documentation
- Maintain clean, accessible, and welcoming environments at assigned recreation sites
- Implement accessibility accommodations for participants with diverse needs
- Submit weekly activity reports and supply requisitions to department leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in recreation, education, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in recreational programming or event coordination
- Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday, 6am-10pm)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and recreation management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse community members
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
