Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain municipal infrastructure including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for construction projects
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems and GIS mapping
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years infrastructure maintenance experience
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavator, bulldozer)
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping and digital reporting systems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with municipal construction projects preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
