Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, sidewalks, and public facilities through regular inspections and repairs
- Operate light machinery including mowers, trimmers, and power tools
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and debris removal
- Support emergency response during natural disasters and public safety incidents
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and landscaping equipment
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in public works or landscaping preferred
