Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, playgrounds, and green spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Conduct facility repairs including plumbing, electrical, and structural maintenance
- Manage waste removal and recycling programs across city properties
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in facility maintenance or groundskeeping
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
