Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, streets, and public facilities including litter removal, snow shoveling, and minor repairs
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently for municipal projects
- Assist with event setup and breakdown at city venues and community spaces
- Respond to citizen inquiries regarding public services and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support emergency response and community initiatives
- Adhere to all city safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience preferred
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Basic knowledge of municipal equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Strong communication skills and commitment to public service values
