Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on municipal buildings, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct safety inspections of public infrastructure (sidewalks, traffic signals, etc.)
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in facility or grounds maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
