Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, backhoes, and mowing machinery
- Respond to emergency service requests within city limits
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with municipal codes
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit regular progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme desert conditions (heat, dust)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
