Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, recreation facilities, and municipal buildings to safety standards
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for infrastructure projects
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within city limits
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces and report hazards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on urban development initiatives
- Manage waste collection and recycling programs across designated zones
- Provide excellent customer service to community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 3+ years in municipal maintenance or public works
- Certification in OSHA safety protocols
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- District residency required within 90 days of hire
