Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park equipment, playgrounds, athletic fields, and irrigation systems
- Perform routine landscaping, turf management, and tree care
- Ensure facilities meet safety standards through daily inspections and maintenance
- Assist in event setup, cleanup, and support for community programs
- Implement pest control and horticultural best practices
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification preferred
- 1+ years of grounds maintenance or park operations experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and turf management
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work extended hours during peak seasons
