Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city buildings, parks, and recreational facilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (mowers, snow plows, utility vehicles)
- Conduct safety inspections and repairs on public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety regulations and environmental standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years in facility maintenance or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems
