Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, mowers, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct daily safety inspections of municipal equipment and work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Respond to emergency weather events and public service requests
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in equipment operation or facility maintenance
- Certification in heavy machinery operation preferred (CDL Class B a plus)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
