Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency repairs during severe weather events
- Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities using digital tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety regulations and environmental standards
- Train junior staff on proper equipment handling and maintenance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Valid Oklahoma Class B driver's license with clean record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (backhoe, loader, etc.)
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency in GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
