Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, graders, and mowing equipment
- Respond to emergency service requests within city guidelines
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards immediately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Adhere to all municipal regulations and OSHA standards
- Assist with disaster recovery and weather-related emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
