Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and trash removal on public streets, sidewalks, and parks.
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles, light equipment, and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of public facilities, including restroom cleaning and facility upkeep.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform snow removal duties during winter months.
- Monitor public areas for safety hazards, code violations, and infrastructure damage; report findings to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other city departments to support community events and general city operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to public safety, cleanliness, and community service.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tool operation.
