Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, backhoes, and pavement breakers.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during winter months.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards while working in the field.
- Collaborate with other municipal teams to coordinate large-scale public works projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles and equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and public service inquiries promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in general maintenance or public works.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to community service, safety, and public integrity.
- Basic knowledge of construction or road maintenance equipment is a plus.
