Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and public infrastructure
- Operate and maintain light machinery, hand tools, and power equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs and service requests within 24 hours
- Assist in event setup/breakdown for public gatherings
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete detailed maintenance logs and digital reporting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Washington State driver's license (Class C)
- 2+ years in maintenance, construction, or related field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Experience with digital work order systems
