Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (mowers, excavators, trucks) for municipal projects
- Perform routine park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and facility repairs
- Assist in road repair, signage installation, and stormwater management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Respond to emergency weather-related city operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with clean record
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida driver's license
