Responsibilities
- Collect and transport residential and commercial waste using heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Operate garbage trucks and recycling vehicles safely and efficiently along assigned routes.
- Maintain cleanliness of sanitation vehicles before, during, and after daily operations.
- Perform minor maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Interact professionally with the public and address service inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Tennessee Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Strong commitment to public service and community integrity.
