Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests with professional resolution protocols
- Coordinate emergency response efforts during severe weather events or public safety incidents
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment including trucks, mowers, and hand tools
- Document service activities and prepare compliance reports for regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement projects
- Participate in public outreach events to educate residents on municipal services
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in public administration preferred
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in facility maintenance or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficient in basic GIS mapping and digital reporting systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in extreme weather conditions
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification highly desirable
- Pass background check and drug screening
