Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and green spaces through mowing, pruning, irrigation, and debris removal
- Operate and perform minor maintenance on recreational equipment including playgrounds, sports courts, and picnic facilities
- Assist in organizing community events, youth sports leagues, and cultural programs
- Conduct daily facility inspections and report safety hazards or maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, answering inquiries and resolving concerns
- Collaborate with maintenance crews on seasonal projects like landscape installations and facility upgrades
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., turf management, CPR) preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or park operations
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Basic knowledge of horticulture practices and irrigation systems
