Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public spaces, parks, and municipal facilities
- Operate specialized equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Respond to citizen service requests regarding infrastructure concerns
- Assist in emergency weather response and disaster recovery operations
- Ensure compliance with city safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas and document findings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to obtain commercial driver's license (CDL) within 6 months
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
