Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, dump trucks) for seasonal projects
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs (water leaks, potholes, downed limbs)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols during all operations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for city-wide initiatives
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and businesses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of Philadelphia municipal infrastructure
