Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform manual labor including pothole repair, paving, and street sweeping to ensure safe roadways for residents.
- Sanitation Operations: Assist in waste collection, recycling sorting, and dumpster management to maintain a clean environment.
- Public Safety Support: Assist in traffic control, crowd management during events, and emergency response support as needed.
- Park Maintenance: Maintain public parks, green spaces, and landscaping to enhance community aesthetics and safety.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and hand tools such as jackhammers, excavators, and dump trucks safely and efficiently.
- Community Interaction: Interact with residents and business owners to address maintenance concerns and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and working in all weather conditions.
- Safety: Familiarity with basic safety protocols and willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in public works, construction, or sanitation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
