Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and installation of water mains, sewer lines, and street infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, backhoes, and trenchers, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Inspect public utility systems and facilities to identify potential hazards, leaks, or code violations.
- Respond to emergency calls regarding utility outages, water main breaks, or infrastructure failure.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute large-scale municipal projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in municipal maintenance, utilities, or a related trade.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, operate hand tools, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical agility assessment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
