Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment for residents and visitors.
- Perform manual labor including mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, planting, and watering of landscaping and turf.
- Empty trash receptacles, pick up litter, and maintain waste disposal areas in designated parks.
- Set up and dismantle recreational equipment, tables, and chairs for community events and sports leagues.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, reporting maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of restrooms and facilities as directed.
- Operate and maintain basic park equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or custodial services is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License is desirable.
- Strong commitment to customer service and working as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment operation is a plus.
