Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for municipal projects
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations during field operations
- Respond to emergency situations including weather-related damage and public safety hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban development initiatives
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal assets and document findings
- Provide exceptional customer service to community members during field interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications preferred
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, maintenance, or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical examination
