Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) for public infrastructure repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance on city parks, roads, and facilities
- Respond to emergency service requests within city service areas
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols during all field operations
- Document work orders using municipal asset management systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams for infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years of municipal or heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in extreme Arizona weather conditions
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and digital reporting tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
