Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of public parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including sweepers, trucks, and landscaping equipment
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure hazards promptly
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with all federal and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Class B commercial driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of municipal maintenance or similar experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency with maintenance tracking software
