Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, roads, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and construction equipment
- Assist with emergency response during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
- Participate in community outreach initiatives for public service awareness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or landscaping
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal equipment maintenance procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
