Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, parks, and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., dump trucks, graders, sweepers)
- Respond to weather emergencies and disaster recovery operations
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years public works or heavy equipment experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
