Responsibilities
- Operate sanitation trucks and equipment to collect residential/commercial waste
- Maintain cleanliness of designated streets, sidewalks, and public areas
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety checks
- Adhere to NYC sanitation protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist during emergency weather events and special clean-up operations
- Document service activities and report equipment issues
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Resilience in all weather conditions
