Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency service calls within 4-hour response window
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Enforce city ordinances and safety protocols
- Participate in disaster relief operations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- 1+ years in public works or similar field preferred
