Responsibilities
- Maintain city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform landscape maintenance and park upkeep across city properties
- Respond to emergency public works calls during inclement weather
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
